The Robert Kalkman foundation donated a golf simulator to The Leids University Medical Centre (LUMC) on Friday the 10th of July. The first swing was rewarded to Prof Dr. A.H.M.Taminiau, orthopedic surgeon.

The simulator has been placed in the halls of Van der Luyt Transport in Oestgeest. The LUMC has the opportunity to get patients with cancer or with a disadvantage acquainted with golf. The acquirement of the golf simulator has been made possible thanks to a sponsor activity organised by the Robert Kalkman Foundation (RKF) during the KLM Open 2008. The RKF (Golf fun for children with cancer) has an important mission and vision: "As a PGA-Professional I want to help children who suffered a disease, disadvantage or cancer like me, with my love and passion for golf. I hope to significantly approve their quality of life by giving them more fun, relaxation and some distraction during difficult times.
